Reeders Youth Group
A Christian fellowship and outreach for youth in grades 7-12

Happy Spring!
 
The youth had an amazing time at our winter retreat at Pocono Plateau! 11 youth: 6 Sr. High, and 5 Jr. High, braved the cold for worship, tons of fun games, and growth in their relationship with our Savior. Before we left the church Friday night, one of our Sr. High youth, Hajj Turner was baptized! This was a desire of his for a few years, and it was such a JOY to witness!
 
In March, we all gathered at our regular youth meetings with lots of games and we tackled more questions like, “Why am I here?” On top of that, these kids respectfully helped to clean up the cemetery from Christmas and the high winds and served meals at the Stroudsburg UMC Soup Kitchen.
 
Coming up in April, we have 2 youth group meetings: The 12th and 26th, with pick up at 1:30pm. We will be putting together and practicing our parts for Youth Sunday (Mark your calendars for May 17th!). If your kids plan on participating, please make sure they attend all youth group events from now until May 17th.

            EMMA RISPOLI, YOUTH PASTOR

Emma was appointed in January 2023 as the new Youth Pastor at Reeders UMC.  One of her responsibilities at Reeders will be to lead and work with the Youth Group.  Her goal will be to bring them together and guide them in their growth at Reeders as group of active participants in some of the ministries at Reeders while they enjoy some fun activities while continuing to educate and develop their knowledge of the Lord and the Bible.
